Crain’s Chicago Business | Editorial Intern

During the fall before the start of the pandemic, I had a chance to work for Crain’s Chicago Business as their editorial intern. There is the link to all of my stories I worked on at Crain’s.

Aside from writing short news stories from press releases, I ventured out and covered Chicago’s burgeoning cannabis industry, at the time when Illinois was prepping the legalization of the long-forbidden drug.

Thanks to the help of John Pletz, a senior reporter at Crain’s, I also wrote several stories on the city’s ride-share regulation and air traffic through O’Hare. A few of these articles not only got published to the printed magazine, but also got retweeted by the mayor, Lori Lightfoot. I was also assigned to assist the real estate reporters, Dennis Rodkin and Alby Gallun, and wrote on the sales of notable commercial real estate.
