Here's how much of Chicago's Uber, Lyft tax will go to public transit
Chicago is planning to invest $2 million out of an expected $40 million in revenue from a ride-sharing congestion tax on improving the city's CTA system, according to Mayor Lori Lightfoot's 2020 budget. The other $38 million will go to the city's general treasury to help the city close an $838 million deficit.
